The Pressure Proof Coaching Team is made up of a passionate group of riding instructors who are dedicated to helping equestrians overcome mental challenges like fears, failures, flaws and frustrations. Our coaches have years of experience riding, teaching and competing and understand the many unique emotions associated with our amazing, yet often-times challenging sport. From show-jitters to stress we believe that what’s happening between our ears deserves just as much attention as what happens below them!

Adria grew-up in a family of sports coaches and has taken that lifetime of knowledge to teach riders of all ages and skill levels to find their inner confidence. She has a passion for helping riders in their pursuit to becoming better equestrians by helping them focus on their efforts instead of outcomes and teaching them to always have patience over perfection.
Being born and raised in an active equestrian household, Alex developed a passion for horses and everything that comes along with them. Her passion continues today as she loves helping riders overcome frustrations and anxiety so they can fully blossom into joyful riders!
Aliya is a fourth generational horsewoman who believes our minds are just as important as our hips, heels, eyes and legs. Aliya loves teaching riders of all ages and levels and believes that anything is possible if we just put our mind to it!
Amy, long-time horse-crazy human, started riding in the 1970s and began coaching a decade ago. She holds degrees in history and law and thrives on helping riders reach their "a-ha!" moments. Aiming her focus on achieving mental fitness and fortitude, Pressure Proofing has provided her with a practical purpose to champion composure and courage in a creative climate!
April has been an equestrian for over 25 years and has enjoyed coaching and teaching riders of different levels and ages for over half of that time. April knows that the mental aspects of riding can be just as challenging as the physical and has a passion for helping equestrian athletes find their courage and confidence... believing that inner strength and camaraderie with other equestrians allows us to find success in every failure and overcome every obstacle.
Betsy has been in the horse industry for over 30 years and has been teaching for over 15 of those years. She works with adults and children but especially enjoys working with young riders and watching them overcome the hardships of riding that transfer into other aspects of their life.
Ellen Ward has been an equestrian since age nine and has endeavored to become the best equestrian possible for all of those years. Ellen loves sharing that journey with riders of all ages, levels, and backgrounds.
Hailey is a successful young equestrian who’s been riding for eight years and teaching for five. Hailey envisions a bright future where riders can bring out the best in themselves, both mentally and physically!.
Jude is an avid rider, trainer and competitor who loves to throw herself at new disciplines and experiences. She is beyond excited to bring her knowledge of mental coaching into the equine industry and to learn from everyone she meets along the way!
Katie has been riding since she was six but has had a passion for horses before she could even walk. Not only does she find joy in horses, she has a passion for helping others overcome their personal obstacles within the sport so that they can become bolder, braver, and brighter riders!
Kristy grew-up with a passion for horses and dedicates her life to always learning more and sharing that knowledge with her students. Kristy’s joy is teaching equestrian mental coaching and rider body-awareness to help her students perform in a positive and successful way.
Kathy is a life long equestrian who has competitive and coaching experience in show jumping, show hunters, and eventing. Kathy combines her passion for horses, equestrian sport, sports psychology and helping others achieve their goals through utilizing the Pressure Proof program and by pursuing her masters in clinical mental health counseling.
Laura has been a part of multiple aspects of equestrian life for over 40 years. Her passion is coaching riders and their horses of all ages and levels to be courageous, calm, strong and confidently independent in every aspect of our challenging sport.
Lauren is a life-long equestrian and learner who loves to teach others. Lauren brings a unique perspective about learning and growing with horses from her involvement in emergency medicine, business, and higher education.
Melissa McLain has been an equestrian for thirty years and has enjoyed teaching students for more than twelve. Melissa knows that working with horses can be challenging but believes all riders can learn purposeful patience to accomplish any goal together...enabling us all to think fast and act calmly even under pressure!
Olivia Crespo has been an equestrian for sixteen years and has enjoyed teaching for more than five of those years. Olivia knows that every rider has greatness inside, and teaches them to believe in themselves… because “Everything is possible for those who believe!” (Mark 9:23)
Pam Ford has been riding and showing western performance horses for over 50 years. She loves to help riders develop and strengthen their mental skills to help them grow in courage, confidence and connection with their horse to feel safe to have fun.
Rachel Hanzak has been riding for 25 years and teaching riders of all ages and levels for ten years. Rachel knows that riding can be rough physically and mentally but loves helping riders turn any cannot into I can.
Sloane has been an equestrian for 15 years and is determined to help riders, both competitive and recreational to remember that riding among all else should be fun! Sloane knows that we all have challenges and obstacles to overcome, but has a talent for empowering riders to conquer their hardships and achieve new heights!
Vanessa has been an equestrian for more than 35 years and has enjoyed teaching riders of all ages for more than 20. She is a lifelong student of the sport and knows that while riding can be challenging or leave us frustrated and nervous, every rider is capable of overcoming their doubts and capable of empowering themselves to live their best lives on horse back.
Wren is a young professional who enjoys passing on her knowledge and experience to her students and learning from them in the process. She’s avid proponent of good horsemanship and understands the importance of mindset and works to incorporate both into her teaching.
